Wills and trust attorneys are lawyers who specialize in the laws regarding estate planning. These attorneys must know and understand both the financial and legal aspect of estate planning and be well versed in the laws of their particular state. In addition, they must be able to advise on the many different types of trusts available for use in planning. In contrast to the planning side, wills and trust attorneys should also be qualified to distinguish between well written will and wills that should be contested in order to help families who feel the will of a loved one was coerced or otherwise not legally put together. Many wills and trust attorneys also practice in other areas as well while some specialize in wills and trusts only.
