Florida law uses equitable distribution to divide property between spouses. This means that the financial situation of each spouse determines what percentage of the couple's property each one receives. In addition, you may consider if your husband has a will for his estate and if so, the contents therein. Moving forward, please contact an Estate attorney to determine the proper course of action.
