How are Funds Disbursed from the Probate Attorney ?

OH Gov Site, Dec 19, 2004

A person is named as trustee for the beneficiary of the trust, and is usually a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian. One of the main responsibilities of the trustee is to request funds for the disbursement of supplemental services on behalf of the beneficiary. Generally, the trustee will send a request to the Ohio probate attorney who helped set up the trust. The request is reviewed and the appropriate legal documents are drawn to submit the request to the Probate Court. The Probate Court reviews the request and either approves, denies, or asks for more information about the request. Once the request is approved, the Ohio probate attorney will contact the bank who holds the trust and request the disbursement.
